I am an artist working from my home in Co. Limerick, Ireland.
Growing up in the countryside has influenced the way I perceive the world around me. Ireland, with all its beauty and its ruggedness is a constant inspiration. I'm fascinated by the sky, the seasons, the transitions of each day to night, and I try to show the emotion I feel through my paintings. The forgotten roads, old rundown cottages, the wildlife of Ireland are what attract me the most of all.

There is a story in the everyday things that surround us and I paint those that I find most interesting. Every now and again I drift between what is real and my imaginary world which brings an illustrative quality and Fairytale element to my paintings.

My current use of soft pastel, charcoal and oils allow a sense of freedom to my expression as an artist. Being self-taught I am constantly learning and developing my style which has been described as contemporary in its feel, emotive, moody and atmospheric.
